Communicating the law to your workforce, customers and visitors

Your challenge from day 1 will be to implement the smoking ban. You are required to display signs to promote and enforce the law. You are also required to educate your staff on your smoking policy. Cigarette Butt bins/ ashtrays need to be removed from all non-smoking areas. The onus falls on the occupier of the premises to enforce the new legislation, and patrons who infringe must be dealt with promptly. There are different requirements for each state, so you will need to grasp an understanding of your local legislation to ensure that your organisation is compliant with the law.
