Why Buy A Seton Sign?

iIn recent years there has been hundreds of sign manufacturers flooding the Australian market with "cheap" safety signs. Here at Seton we believe it's important for our customers to understand how a Seton safety sign differs from certain other cheap imitations. In the Seton manufacturing process we use the highest quality raw materials that can withstand the harsh Australian climate. Some of our raw material suppliers include respected names such as Bluescope, 3M™ and Capral. Skimping on a quality safety sign can result in a premature faded message that could result in a workplace accident. Read on for a detailed description of our sign manufacturing materials.

Self Adhesive Vinyl
This durable vinyl features a full self-adhesive backing so you can adhere it to virtually any clean, dry surface. Well suited for curved or rough surfaces as well. These signs are suitable for outdoor use and can endure temperatures of -40° to 80°C.

Metal Bluescope Colourbond™ Steel.
Guaranteed lifetime of 5-8 years. This heavy gauge material holds up well in windy conditions. Well suited for use outdoors. These signs come with rounded corners and four corner mounting holes. They endure temperatures of -40°C to 80°C.0.7mm thick.

Polypropylene
These signs are highly recommended for outdoor use. They are UV stable and resist fading and cracking outdoors for 5-8 years. They will not chip or break if dropped. They have rounded corners and corner mounting holes. They endure temps of -40°C to 160°C.1.9mm thick.

Multiflute
These signs are manufactured from 3mm Multiflute, a lightweight, low cost and durable material. They are flexible and may be mounted on slightly curved surfaces. Ideal for outdoors, especially for temporary locations.

Reflective
Reflective signs can be made with self adhesive vinyl, metal or polypropylene. A reflective adhesive vinyl is applied to the sign to give a highly visible reflective effect at night. Seton uses 3M™ Scotchlite reflective sheeting which is manufactured in accordance to AS 1906.1:1993. Available in Class 1 and Class 2 retro-reflectivity Luminous These signs are mainly found in our exit and fire range. They provide a luminous glowing effect in the dark and are typically used for marking emergency/evacuation routes.

Reflective Aluminium
Reflective Aluminium signs are made up of the reflective sheeting and aluminium base. At Seton we use 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective sheeting and Capral Aluminium to provide a light weight sign. Capral aluminium tolerances comply with AS/NZS 1734:1997 and should be used for any application where resistance to corrosion and strength are a necessity. This type of Reflective aluminium signs are used in some of our traffic and parking range signs.
