Specs have polycarbonate lenses suitable for high glare application and where UV and IR radiation exists. The anti-scratch lens coating will help improve longevity of the lens which is rated an I for medium impact. The Buster Shade 5 lens is designed for high glare applications only. These include furnace work and molten metal operations. Refer AS/NZS 1336:1997 for recommended use.
