Do I need to provide a sharps container?
According to Health NSW, public hospitals in NSW are required to provide sharps disposal service for the public. Many local councils and businesses provide sharps bins for disposal of single-use syringes in public toilets and restrooms.
Which sharps container should I purchase?
To determine which sharps container is suitable for you, it is important to think about how often you need to dispose of sharps, and how many you have to dispose of at a time. If you have a large amount of sharps that need to be disposed of, Seton recommends purchasing a larger sharps container.
