Frequently Asked Questions

Can this product be used outdoors?

This product can be used indoors and outdoors. Iit is made from highly durable polypropylene and uses UV resistant ink to prevent the information from fading away. This product is popular with swimming clubs, at aquatic centres, in schools, gyms and recreational facilities.

Where should swimming pool signs be placed?

Seton recommends placing resuscitation charts and other safety messages on the safety barrier of your pool. As a general rule of thumb, they should be at least 30cm by 30cm in size and be visible to pool users. It’s worth mentioning that they should also have clear instructions on how to act in an emergency.

How can I make my pool safe?

It’s important that pool users feel safe and comfortable when using your pool. Making sure that children and adults are safe when swimming should be your number one priority. This can be achieved by installing proper safety barriers around your pool, staying vigilant when your pool is in use, and learning CPR (as well as other safety techniques) to make sure that you’re always prepared for any emergency.

Do I need a pool sign in my facility?

According to the Swimming Pools Act 1992, there are a number of regulations that you must abide by in order to make your pool compliant and legal. Apart from proper fencing and registration, CPR signage must be present and visible in case of emergencies. This sign has clear instructions and is perfect to keep pool-side at your facility or at home.

How many signs do i need at my facility?

The Swimming Pools Act of 1992 does not give a proper figure on the amount of signs you need at your swimming pool. However, they do recommend making sure that the signs that you do choose to use are visible from up to three metres away, and contain clear instructions on what to do in an emergency.
